Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a motivated and physically capable Drill Helper to join our growing team in The Beaches, Toronto. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are eager to work outdoors, learn valuable skills in the drilling and construction industry, and contribute to significant infrastructure projects across the city. As a Drill Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced drillers, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of drilling equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist drillers with the setup, operation, and dismantling of drilling equipment and machinery.
- Handle, connect, and disconnect drill rods, casing, and various drilling tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, including clearing debris and ensuring equipment is stored properly.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or damage.
- Operate support vehicles and equipment as directed, with proper training and licensing.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Help with the collection and labeling of soil, rock, and water samples as per project specifications.
- Support the driller in managing and documenting daily drilling logs and activities.
- Participate in daily safety briefings and contribute to a culture of continuous safety improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency and success of drilling operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Reliability and punctuality.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, labor, or a similar outdoor physical role.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR certification.
- Familiarity with drilling operations or heavy equipment.
- Completed high school diploma or equivalent.
- WHMIS and Working at Heights training certificates.
