Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated ‘Driver – Logistics & Delivery’ to join our growing team in Pembroke Hall, St. Andrew. This pivotal role involves operating a company vehicle to transport goods safely and efficiently to various destinations within the St. Andrew parish and surrounding areas. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that all deliveries are completed on schedule, maintaining excellent communication with dispatch and clients, and upholding our commitment to exceptional service. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and maintain a company-provided vehicle for local deliveries and pickups within St. Andrew and surrounding areas.
  • Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines and optimize fuel consumption.
  • Accurately load, unload, and secure items, ensuring their safety and integrity during transit.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues or damage promptly.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation for all completed routes and transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status, potential delays, or issues.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients, representing Career.zycto professionally.
  • Assist with basic inventory checks and warehouse organization as needed to support logistics operations.

Required Skills

  • Valid General Driver's License (Class C or equivalent for light/medium goods vehicle in Jamaica)
  • Minimum of 2 years (24 months) professional driving experience, preferably in logistics or delivery.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations for the past five years.
  • Excellent knowledge of St. Andrew parish and surrounding areas routes and traffic patterns.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) safely and repeatedly.
  • Proficiency in using GPS navigation and mobile dispatch applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with temperature-sensitive or fragile cargo handling.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge for minor checks.
  • Previous customer service experience in a delivery context.
