Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs, substance use patterns, and co-occurring mental health issues.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans, setting achievable goals and strategies for recovery.
- Provide one-on-one counseling, crisis intervention, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Educate clients and their families on addiction, recovery processes, harm reduction strategies, and relapse prevention.
- Refer clients to appropriate internal and external resources, including medical services, housing support, employment assistance, and legal aid.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including medical professionals, social workers, and other support staff.
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the community and various service systems.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay abreast of best practices in addiction treatment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in drug and alcohol counseling or social work.
- Strong understanding of addiction theories, recovery models, and harm reduction principles.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Ability to build rapport and therapeutic relationships with diverse client populations.
- Proficiency in case management, assessment, and care planning.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and non-judgmental approach.
- Fluency in German (C1 level minimum) and English (B2 level minimum).

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
