Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate activities in line with the EYFS curriculum.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, identifying individual needs and next steps for learning.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, maintaining open and effective communication.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in accordance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily diaries, accident reports, and progress updates.
- Support children in developing independence, social skills, and positive behaviours.
- Organise and manage resources effectively to enhance learning experiences.
Required Skills
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Ability to plan and deliver creative, play-based learning activities.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Knowledge of specific early learning approaches (e.g., Montessori, Reggio Emilia).
- Previous experience in a senior Early Years role.
