Your day-to-day activities will involve assisting experienced technicians with routine maintenance, minor repairs, and operational checks on a diverse fleet of equipment, including tractors, planters, cultivators, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of farm machinery and equipment.
- Conduct pre-operational and post-operational checks on various farm vehicles and implements.
- Perform routine tasks such as lubrication, fluid level checks, tire pressure adjustments, and basic cleaning of equipment.
- Learn to identify potential mechanical issues and report them promptly to supervisors.
- Assist in assembling and disassembling farm equipment parts as needed.
- Support the preparation of equipment for planting, harvesting, and other seasonal operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop and equipment storage area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with machinery and in the workshop.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Participate actively in all provided training sessions and demonstrate a commitment to learning.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles (advantageous but not mandatory, as training is provided).
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies.
