Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their financial objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses for clients, identifying areas for improvement and opportunity.
  • Design and implement personalized financial plans, encompassing investments, retirement, education savings, insurance, and estate planning.
  • Provide expert advice on a wide range of financial products and services, ensuring suitability and client understanding.
  • Regularly review client portfolios and financial plans, making adjustments as life circumstances or market conditions change.
  • Educate clients on financial concepts, market trends, and product features to empower informed decision-making.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and ethical standards within the financial services industry.
  • Actively participate in professional development and continuous learning to stay abreast of industry changes and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and specialists to deliver holistic financial solutions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Financial Advisor or similar role in financial planning.
  • Deep understanding of investment products, insurance, retirement planning, and wealth management strategies.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess financial data and develop comprehensive plans.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong ethical foundation and commitment to acting in clients' best interests.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and CRM systems.
  • Valid industry licenses (e.g.,IFIC, CSC) or the ability to obtain them within a specified timeframe upon hiring.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or working towards one.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse client demographics.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian financial regulatory landscape.
  • Additional language proficiencies are a definite asset.
