Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck) to load, unload, stack, and move materials within the warehouse or storage facility.
- Receive and store goods in appropriate designated areas, ensuring proper stacking and organization.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.
- Conduct daily pre-operation safety checks on forklift equipment and report any defects or malfunctions immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning and documenting material movements using warehouse management systems.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including cleaning and organizing work areas.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant traffic and warehouse regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Valid forklift operator's license (e.g., German Staplerschein)
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Proven ability to operate counterbalance and/or reach trucks safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and inventory
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Reliability and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) like SAP
- Familiarity with various material handling equipment beyond forklifts
