Job Description

Elephant Hills Resort is seeking an experienced and dynamic Full-Time Hotel Manager to lead our operations in Victoria Falls. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader who can inspire a large team to deliver unparalleled guest experiences while ensuring operational efficiency and financial success. As Hotel Manager, you will be the heart of our resort, overseeing all departments from front office and food & beverage to housekeeping, maintenance, and recreation. You will be responsible for upholding our brand standards, driving revenue growth, managing budgets, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned hospitality professional with a passion for service, strong business acumen, and a deep understanding of luxury resort operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of all hotel departments, ensuring seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve financial targets, including revenue generation, cost control, and profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of hospitality professionals, fostering a positive work environment and promoting career growth.
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality assurance, cleanliness, and safety across all resort facilities.
  • Manage budgets, financial forecasts, and operational expenditures effectively.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement proactive measures to address concerns and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute promotional strategies.
  • Oversee property maintenance and capital improvement projects, ensuring the resort remains in pristine condition.
  • Represent the resort in the local community and build strong relationships with stakeholders and industry partners.
  • Implement innovative solutions and best practices to improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle crisis management and resolve complex operational challenges with professionalism and efficacy.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or a similar senior leadership role in a large-scale hotel or resort.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial management and budgeting expertise.
  • Deep understanding of hotel operations, including front office, F&B, housekeeping, and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding guest service and resolve complex issues.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-oriented approach.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working within the African tourism market, specifically Zimbabwe.
  • Fluency in additional local languages (e.g., Ndebele, Shona).
  • Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices in hospitality.
  • Certification in Hotel Asset Management or similar professional development.
