As our Hospitality Front Desk Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in shaping our guests’ overall perception of Konokono Beach Resort. Your days will be filled with diverse tasks, from warmly welcoming arrivals and handling efficient check-in procedures to managing reservations, responding to inquiries, and assisting with concierge services. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate guest records, processing payments, and ensuring all guest-related communications are handled professionally and promptly. Beyond the transactional, your true impact will lie in your ability to connect with guests, offer personalized recommendations for island excursions or resort amenities, and swiftly resolve any concerns, transforming potential issues into opportunities for exemplary service. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and register guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
  • Manage all guest reservations, modifications, and cancellations with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, emails, and in-person inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Provide comprehensive information about the resort's facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Process guest payments, manage cash and credit transactions, and handle daily financial reports.
  • Address guest concerns and complaints proactively, resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and ensure data privacy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with concierge services, including booking tours, transfers, and restaurant reservations.
  • Collaborate closely with housekeeping, F&B, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Uphold the resort’s standards of luxury service, professionalism, and appearance at all times.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a front office or guest relations role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio).
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Swahili is a significant advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving aptitude with a calm and courteous demeanor under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of an additional foreign language (e.g., French, German, Italian, Arabic).
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
