Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, creating an inviting first impression.
- Manage the waitlist and seating chart efficiently, optimizing table turnover and guest flow.
- Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and inform them of their server's name.
- Answer incoming calls professionally, managing reservations and providing accurate information.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, waiting area, and entryway.
- Assist guests with special requests, such as high chairs, booster seats, or accessible seating.
- Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Handle guest inquiries and minor complaints with courtesy and escalate issues when necessary.
- Monitor dining room activity to anticipate seating needs and assist staff as required.
- Manage takeout orders, ensuring accuracy and timely hand-off to customers.
