Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and customer-focused Full-Time Hotel Shuttle Bus Driver to join our vibrant team at Karafuu Beach Resort & Spa. As a crucial point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for ensuring their safe, comfortable, and timely transportation between the hotel, airport, and various local attractions. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate the hotel's shuttle bus for scheduled and unscheduled guest transportation.
- Transport guests to and from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) and other designated locations.
- Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage, ensuring their belongings are handled with care.
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide courteous, friendly, and professional customer service to all guests.
- Be knowledgeable about local routes, tourist attractions, and provide information to guests as requested.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with patience and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and records as required.
- Be punctual and reliable for all shifts and assignments.
Required Skills
- Valid Tanzanian Class C1 or equivalent driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Excellent knowledge of local roads and geography in Zanzibar, especially Pingwe, Michamvi.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage (up to 25 kg).
- Punctual, reliable, and highly responsible.
- Proven ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary school certificate or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Swahili or other foreign languages (e.g., Italian, French, German).
- Previous experience as a hotel driver or in a similar guest transport role.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
