Job Description
Are you a meticulous and dedicated individual with a passion for creating pristine environments? Maluti Stay Lodge is seeking a highly motivated and reliable House Cleaner to join our vibrant team in Butha-Buthe. This pivotal role is responsible for maintaining the exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of our lodge, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience for every guest. As a House Cleaner, you will be instrumental in upholding the lodge’s reputation for excellence by ensuring guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities are spotless, sanitized, and perfectly presented. Your daily tasks will involve a comprehensive range of cleaning activities, from dusting and vacuuming to sanitizing bathrooms and replenishing amenities. You will work diligently to prepare rooms for incoming guests, ensuring every detail meets our stringent quality benchmarks. This position demands a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas, to the highest standards.
- Change linens, make beds, and replenish towels and guest amenities.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and fittings; vacuum carpets and mop hard floors.
- Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, hallways, dining areas, and staff rooms.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately to supervision.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and lodge cleaning protocols.
- Manage cleaning supplies efficiently and report stock needs.
- Assist with laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored properly.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and assist colleagues when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to clean and maintain various surfaces and areas.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and safe handling procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move cleaning equipment/supplies.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation principles.
