Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize designated areas, including public spaces, offices, and restrooms, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces, ensuring all areas are free of debris and marks.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors regularly to maintain cleanliness and prevent slip hazards.
- Empty waste bins, replace liners, and properly dispose of trash and recyclables.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in designated areas.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately to supervision.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and appropriately, adhering to all COSHH regulations and company policies.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as required.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate weights, and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe use.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar cleaning role (e.g., hotel, commercial, residential).
