Career.zycto is actively seeking an experienced and empathetic HR Generalist with a dedicated focus on Employee Relations to join our vibrant team in Davis Square, Somerville. Your day-to-day will involve proactively addressing workplace concerns, conducting thorough and impartial investigations into employee grievances, harassment claims, and other workplace conflicts. You will be instrumental in mediating disputes, offering strategic advice to managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations, all while upholding Career.zycto’s commitment to fairness and legal compliance. This role demands a keen eye for detail, exceptional judgment, and a compassionate approach to complex human interactions. You will be expected to develop and implement proactive strategies to enhance employee engagement, reduce turnover, and cultivate a harmonious work environment. Beyond reactive problem-solving, you will also contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for managers and employees on topics such as conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion, and respectful workplace conduct.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing guidance to employees and managers.
- Conduct thorough, impartial, and timely investigations into employee grievances, complaints, and misconduct.
- Interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws (federal and state).
- Partner with management to address performance management issues, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation between employees and/or managers.
- Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations best practices, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations records and documentation.
- Analyze employee relations trends, identify root causes, and recommend proactive strategies to improve workplace morale and reduce issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
- Ensure all actions comply with legal requirements and company values.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience with a strong emphasis on employee relations.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and Massachusetts state employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO).
- Proven experience conducting workplace investigations impartially and effectively.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP or HRCI PHR certification.
- Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, or growing organization.
- Familiarity with various HRIS systems.
- Bilingual capabilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
