Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Officer specializing in Recruitment and Employee Relations to join our dynamic team in Curepipe. This pivotal role is essential for attracting, nurturing, and retaining top talent across our diverse business units. As an HR Officer, you will be instrumental in managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from identifying talent needs and crafting compelling job descriptions to conducting interviews and facilitating seamless onboarding. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that Eclosia continues to attract individuals who align with our values and contribute to our strategic objectives. Beyond recruitment, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive work environment by effectively managing employee relations, addressing grievances, mediating conflicts, and ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and labor laws. This involves providing counsel to both employees and management on a wide range of HR matters, promoting a culture of open communication and mutual respect. Your ability to navigate complex interpersonal situations with empathy and professionalism will be key. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job analysis, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and offer management.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates, utilizing various channels and platforms.
  • Conduct thorough onboarding sessions for new hires to ensure a smooth integration into the company culture and their respective teams.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR-related issues, including performance management, employee development, and policy interpretation.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures in compliance with Mauritian labor laws and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR information systems, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Organize and participate in employee engagement initiatives and activities to foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive workplace.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes, employee satisfaction, and overall organizational effectiveness.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and strategic HR planning.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a Human Resources role with a strong focus on recruitment and employee relations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Mauritian labor law and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of building rapport and trust with employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a focus on fair and equitable outcomes.
  • Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, or local equivalent).
  • Experience working in a large, diversified group or conglomerate.
  • Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with our diverse workforce.
