Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all import and export shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and process all required documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Canadian customs regulations (CBSA), international trade laws, and company policies.
  • Liaise effectively with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and international suppliers/customers to track shipments and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Monitor and communicate shipment status, potential delays, and compliance updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the research and interpretation of trade agreements, tariffs, and customs duties relevant to our product lines.
  • Support the continuous improvement of logistics processes and supply chain efficiency.
  • Address and resolve discrepancies, customs issues, or shipping challenges proactively.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in import/export coordination or international logistics.
  • Strong understanding of international trade terms (Incoterms), customs procedures, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of clear articulation in English.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Canadian customs regulations (CBSA) and related software platforms.

  • Additional language proficiency (e.g., French, Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi).
