Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investment Banking Analyst to join our growing team in Downtown Kenner. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about finance to gain invaluable experience across various transaction types, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), debt and equity capital markets, and strategic advisory. As an Investment Banking Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting senior bankers throughout the entire deal lifecycle, from origination to execution.

This role demands a strong foundation in financial analysis, exceptional quantitative skills, and the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely. You will be instrumental in conducting in-depth financial modeling, valuation analyses, and comprehensive industry research that forms the backbone of our client deliverables. You will also be responsible for preparing compelling client presentations, pitch books, and confidential information memoranda, requiring a keen eye for detail and proficiency in presentation software. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed financial models, including valuation models (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions), LBO models, and accretion/dilution analyses.
  • Conduct comprehensive industry research, market analysis, and company-specific due diligence to support transaction execution and business development efforts.
  • Prepare client presentations, pitch books, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), and other marketing materials.
  • Assist in all phases of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, debt and equity financings, and strategic advisory assignments.
  • Analyze financial statements, operational performance, and market data to identify key trends and insights.
  • Collaborate with senior bankers and other team members to ensure seamless execution of mandates.
  • Manage and organize data rooms for due diligence processes.
  • Participate in client meetings and calls, contributing to discussions and taking detailed notes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory changes.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and corporate finance concepts.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling) and PowerPoint (presentation development).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and demanding environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • CFA Level I candidate or progress towards CFA designation.
  • Knowledge of financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or Refinitiv Eikon.
  • Demonstrated interest in capital markets and transaction advisory.
