Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior scientists and researchers in conducting various laboratory experiments and procedures.
- Prepare samples, reagents, solutions, and media according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring proper functioning and accurate results.
- Accurately record, organize, and maintain experimental data, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
- Perform routine quality control checks on materials and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies, chemicals, and consumables, and ensuring proper storage.
- Contribute to general lab upkeep, including cleaning glassware, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining an organized workspace.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding experimental design and results.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and assist in identifying solutions to experimental issues.
Required Skills
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- Fundamental understanding of basic laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in performing tasks and recording data.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for data entry and documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
