Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory experiments and tests accurately, following established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and media according to specific instructions and formulas.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain various laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results in physical lab notebooks and digital data management systems.
- Assist in the precise setup and efficient breakdown of experimental apparatus for research projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace at all times, adhering strictly to all safety regulations and waste disposal guidelines.
- Handle, store, and dispose of chemical and biological materials safely and responsibly, in compliance with environmental standards.
- Assist senior researchers with preliminary data analysis, report generation, and presentation preparation as needed.
- Actively participate in regular team meetings, contributing to discussions on experimental design, troubleshooting, and outcome interpretation.
- Monitor inventory of lab supplies, consumables, and reagents, proactively notifying senior staff of restocking needs to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
Required Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge of general laboratory techniques, principles, and safety procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks, measurements, and data recording.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
