Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, and workshops for undergraduate and potentially postgraduate programs in Digital Arts & Multimedia.
  • Prepare comprehensive course materials, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that align with curriculum objectives and industry standards.
  • Evaluate student performance through continuous assessment, examinations, and project critiques, providing constructive and timely feedback.
  • Provide academic advice, mentorship, and support to students, fostering an environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Actively participate in curriculum development, review, and enhancement processes to ensure programs remain current, relevant, and innovative.
  • Contribute to departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes.
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and pedagogical approaches in Digital Arts & Multimedia.
  • Supervise student capstone projects, internships, and research efforts, guiding them towards successful and impactful outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress in accordance with institutional policies.

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Digital Arts, Multimedia, Graphic Design, Communication, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive college-level teaching experience in Digital Arts or Multimedia disciplines.
  • Demonstrated expertise in industry-standard software and platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects; Figma; Blender; Unreal Engine).
  • A strong and diverse portfolio showcasing practical skills in graphic design, web design, animation, video production, or interactive media development.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Proven experience in modern curriculum design, innovative assessment methodologies, and effective classroom management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate (Ph.D.) in a relevant field or significant professional experience equivalent to a doctorate.
  • Experience with various learning management systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard for blended and online learning.
  • Active participation in professional associations, industry networks, or research communities related to digital arts and media.
  • Prior experience in developing and delivering online learning content or hybrid courses.
  • Demonstrable industry experience in a digital agency, media production house, design studio, or a related creative sector.
