Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic client files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Conduct preliminary legal research using online databases and other resources under supervision.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates, managing attorney calendars effectively.
  • Assist with intake of new clients, including preparing engagement letters and conflict checks.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails, prioritizing and distributing as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
  • Assist in the preparation for trials, hearings, and depositions.
  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties to support the legal team.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
