Key Responsibilities
- Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in and around the water to prevent incidents.
- Enforce all pool rules, regulations, and policies in a professional and courteous manner.
- Identify and respond quickly and effectively to all aquatic emergencies, including rescues and first aid.
- Administer emergency first aid and CPR/AED as needed.
- Perform daily safety checks of the pool area, equipment, and surrounding environment.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the facility, including pool decks, changing rooms, and restrooms.
- Educate patrons on safe swimming practices and facility guidelines to ensure a positive experience.
- Complete necessary incident reports, log sheets, and maintain accurate records.
- Attend all required in-service trainings, drills, and meetings to maintain certifications and readiness.
Required Skills
- Ability to swim proficiently and comfortably in deep water.
- Excellent observational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in emergency situations.
- Reliable, punctual, and demonstrates a high level of responsibility.
- Willingness to obtain Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED certifications (comprehensive training provided upon hire).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or guest relations role.
- Basic knowledge of water safety principles and rescue techniques.
