Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client outreach and actively market loan products to potential clients within Tana River County.
- Interview loan applicants to assess their eligibility, financial needs, and capacity to repay loans.
- Perform comprehensive credit analysis, including reviewing financial statements, business plans, and collateral.
- Prepare and present loan proposals to the credit committee for approval, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Facilitate the loan disbursement process and monitor loan repayment schedules.
- Provide financial literacy training and business advisory services to clients.
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, identify potential risks, and implement effective collection strategies when necessary.
- Generate regular reports on loan portfolio performance, client interactions, and market trends.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in microfinance, banking, or a related financial services role.
- Strong understanding of financial products, credit assessment, and risk management principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Swahili.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a target-driven environment.
- Valid motorcycle riding license and willingness to travel extensively within Tana River County.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
