Job Description
Are you a meticulous and passionate Mobile Automation Tester eager to elevate product quality and user experience? In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, performance, and usability of our innovative mobile applications across various platforms, primarily Android and iOS. You will have the unique opportunity to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for our mobile platforms, utilising industry-leading tools like Appium, Espresso, and XCUITest. These scripts will be seamlessly integrated into our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, enabling rapid feedback and consistent quality checks. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites for native Android and iOS applications.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand new features and ensure testability from inception.
- Execute and analyze test results, identifying defects, and working closely with developers for resolution.
- Contribute to the overall test strategy, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing for mobile applications.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools, strategies, and industry best practices for mobile QA.
- Provide clear and concise bug reports and status updates to stakeholders.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Mobile Test Automation.
- Proficiency with mobile automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).
- Strong programming skills in at least one relevant language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift, Python).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of mobile application architecture and common testing challenges.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with performance testing tools for mobile applications.
- Knowledge of cloud-based device farms (e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).
- ISTQB certification in Mobile Application Testing.
