Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Night Shift Hotel Receptionist to join a vibrant hospitality team in Migori County, Kenya. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, managing efficient check-in and check-out processes.
- Handle all incoming calls, direct them appropriately, and take messages accurately.
- Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations with precision.
- Address guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally, escalating issues as necessary.
- Perform night audits, balancing daily transactions, and preparing reports for management.
- Maintain accurate guest records and ensure data privacy and security.
- Monitor security cameras and ensure the safety and security of guests and hotel property throughout the night.
- Manage cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial procedures.
- Prepare wake-up calls and special requests for guests.
- Assist with basic concierge services, providing local information and recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments (e.g., housekeeping, security) to ensure seamless guest services.
- Handle emergencies with composure and follow established protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluency in English and Swahili (both written and spoken).
- A calm and composed demeanor, especially during busy or challenging situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
- Previous experience specifically as a Night Auditor or Night Receptionist.
- Familiarity with local attractions and amenities in Migori County.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
