Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of designated areas including production floors, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces during night shifts.
- Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, power washers, and vacuum cleaners safely and efficiently.
- Handle and apply cleaning chemicals and disinfectants according to safety data sheets (SDS) and established procedures.
- Collect and dispose of waste and recycling materials in compliance with company and environmental regulations.
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks, including scrubbing, mopping, polishing, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Ensure all work areas are left in a clean, orderly, and safe condition for the next shift.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP where applicable).
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
- Work independently and as part of a small team to meet cleaning schedules and standards.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work independently and maintain a high level of productivity during night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols meticulously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a sanitation, janitorial, or industrial cleaning role.
- Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, power washers).

- Possession of a valid driver's license (if applicable for transport between sites).
- First aid and WHMIS certification.
