Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and reliable Night Shift Warehouse Associate to join our growing team in Glendale, Red Deer. This is a critical full-time position that plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our distribution center during the overnight hours. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight, manually or using material handling equipment, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for shipment, ensuring products are free from damage.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and possibly forklifts (if certified), adhering to all safety protocols.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records through a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, following all company safety policies and procedures.
- Inspect products for defects or damages and report any discrepancies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure operational goals are met.
- Adhere to all shipping and receiving procedures and complete necessary paperwork.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistently during night shift hours (typically 10 PM – 6 AM).
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic math and literacy skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Glendale, Red Deer facility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift).
- Valid forklift certification.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
