Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and physically capable Order Picker to join our fast-paced distribution team in Northport, Alabama. As an Order Picker, you will navigate our warehouse using various equipment, carefully selecting items from designated locations based on customer orders. You’ll be responsible for reading order forms, locating products, verifying quantities, and preparing them for the next stage of the distribution process.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on picking lists or electronic devices.
- Verify product numbers, quantities, and descriptions to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack orders securely to prevent damage during transit, utilizing appropriate packing materials.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials and products from trucks, ensuring proper handling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily equipment checks and report any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding order status or discrepancies.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand picking lists and shipping labels.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience (6 months+) in a warehouse or order picking role.
- Experience operating electric pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- Forklift certification (stand-up or sit-down).
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
