Key Responsibilities
- Accurately select, pick, and prepare customer orders according to specified quantities and product codes during the night shift.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including pallet jacks and possibly forklifts (certification may be provided or required).
- Perform quality checks on picked items to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
- Organise and consolidate orders onto pallets or trolleys for shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily productivity targets and meet deadlines.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to warehouse supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including manual handling techniques.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment (at least 6 months).
- Ability to work consistently and reliably during night shift hours.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items repeatedly.
- Ability to read and understand order sheets and product labels.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating a pallet jack or similar warehouse equipment.
- Valid forklift (FLT) license (e.g., Reach or Counterbalance).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Proven track record of meeting productivity targets.
