Job Description

Are you a skilled and meticulous Panel Beater with a passion for restoring vehicles to their pristine condition? ABC Motors Co. Ltd., a leading name in Mauritius’s automotive sector, is seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art workshop located in Ebene Recreational Park. In this vital role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicle bodies, ensuring structural integrity, aesthetic perfection, and adherence to manufacturer specifications. You will work on a diverse range of vehicles, utilizing your expertise in dent removal, panel replacement, chassis alignment, and preparation for painting. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of automotive body repair techniques, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities

  • Assess vehicle body damage and accurately estimate repair time and material costs.
  • Repair and replace damaged body panels, fenders, doors, and other structural components.
  • Perform precise dent removal, including paintless dent repair (PDR) techniques where applicable.
  • Utilize welding equipment (MIG, TIG, spot welding) to join and repair metal parts.
  • Straighten and realign vehicle chassis and frames using specialized equipment.
  • Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, priming, and masking.
  • Ensure all repairs meet strict quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with paint technicians, mechanics, and service advisors.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure complete and satisfactory repairs.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater or Body Repair Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in welding, cutting, and shaping metal.
  • Ability to use body repair tools, equipment, and machinery effectively and safely.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of automotive structural integrity and safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training or certification in Automotive Body Repair or Panel Beating.
  • Experience with advanced materials like aluminum and composites.
  • Familiarity with various car makes and models.
  • Knowledge of paint preparation processes.
