Job Description

Great Huts Resort is actively seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Parking Lot Cashier. As a Parking Lot Cashier, you will be the welcoming face for many of our guests and visitors, ensuring a smooth and efficient parking experience from arrival to departure. You will be responsible for managing payment collections, issuing tickets, providing clear directions, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the parking facility. This position demands a keen eye for detail, a friendly demeanor, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate cash register and process various forms of payment (cash, credit/debit cards) accurately and efficiently for parking services.
  • Issue parking tickets, receipts, and provide correct change to customers.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of transactions, balance cash drawer, and prepare end-of-shift reports.
  • Greet all guests and visitors with a friendly and professional attitude, offering assistance, information, and directions as needed.
  • Monitor the parking lot for security, cleanliness, and order, reporting any unusual activities or maintenance issues to management promptly.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve minor complaints courteously and efficiently, escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all company policies, parking lot regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Assist with traffic flow management within the parking facility during peak hours or special events.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure workstation at all times, contributing to the overall tidiness of the parking area.
  • Communicate effectively and collaboratively with other resort staff regarding parking availability, special guest requests, and operational needs.

  • Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and making change.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or cashier role (even if not parking-specific).
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactional processing.
  • Knowledge of local area attractions, directions, and tourist information.
  • Ability to speak basic Patois is considered a valuable asset.
