Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Part-Time Cleaning Janitorial Specialist to join our team at Blue Reef Sport & Fishing Lodge. This vital role involves maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our lodge, ensuring a welcoming and immaculate environment for all our guests and staff. You will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing in guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms and kitchenettes to the highest hygiene standards.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse appropriately.
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and other amenities.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
- Assist with laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low.
- Work cooperatively with other team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and proper use of cleaning agents.
- Good communication skills (verbal) in English or Swahili.
