Key Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and bake a wide variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
- Manage daily pastry production schedule, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and timely execution.
- Innovate and create new dessert menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and diverse culinary influences.
- Oversee inventory management of pastry ingredients, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in the pastry kitchen, adhering to all food safety regulations (HACCP).
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between pastry and main kitchen operations.
- Monitor and control food costs related to pastry production without compromising quality.
- Demonstrate exceptional artistic skills in pastry decoration and presentation.
- Adapt recipes and techniques to accommodate specific dietary restrictions and guest preferences.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Pastry Chef or a similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, pastry science, and kitchen equipment.
