Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators and critical business metrics.
- Connect to various data sources, perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand their analytical needs, and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
- Develop complex DAX formulas and M queries to support advanced calculations and data manipulations.
- Optimize Power BI reports for performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and reports.
- Participate in data governance initiatives and contribute to data documentation efforts.
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, industry trends, and best practices in business intelligence and data visualization.
- Assist in the development of data models and data warehousing solutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Power BI Analyst or similar role (minimum 3 years)
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Power BI Desktop, including report development, dashboard creation, and data modeling.
- Strong command of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M language.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics).
- Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView).
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling concepts.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
