Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Prompt Engineer to join our fully remote team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of developing and optimizing interactions with large language models (LLMs) to achieve superior performance, accuracy, and creative outputs. You will design, test, and refine prompts across a variety of applications, from content generation and summarization to complex reasoning tasks and code generation. This position demands a unique blend of technical acumen, linguistic creativity, and a deep understanding of AI model behaviors. You will collaborate closely with AI researchers, software engineers, and product managers to integrate cutting-edge LLM capabilities into our products and services. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a curious mindset, and is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what AI can accomplish. Your work will directly influence the intelligence, usability, and impact of our AI-powered solutions, ensuring we deliver truly transformative experiences to our users. We are looking for someone who can not only craft effective prompts but also develop strategies for prompt management, versioning, and evaluation, contributing significantly to our internal prompt engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize prompts for various large language models (LLMs) to achieve desired outcomes across multiple use cases.
- Experiment with different prompting techniques, including few-shot, chain-of-thought, and self-consistency prompting, to improve model performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with AI researchers and data scientists to understand model capabilities and limitations, informing prompt design strategies.
- Work alongside software engineers to integrate optimized prompts into production systems and applications.
- Analyze model outputs, identify biases, inconsistencies, or hallucinations, and iterate on prompts to mitigate these issues.
- Develop and maintain a robust library of prompts, prompt templates, and best practices for prompt engineering.
- Create evaluation metrics and methodologies to systematically assess the quality and effectiveness of prompt designs.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in LLM research, prompt engineering techniques, and generative AI technologies.
- Document prompt designs, testing procedures, and performance results for knowledge sharing and reproducibility.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of our AI product development by identifying new opportunities for LLM application.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in prompt engineering, AI development, or a related field focusing on LLMs.
- Demonstrable experience with various prompt engineering techniques and methodologies.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with relevant AI/ML libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong understanding of the architecture and underlying principles of large language models.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and model outputs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for linguistic nuance.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in AI, ML, NLP, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with fine-tuning or training large language models.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices.
- Prior experience in developing AI applications for specific industries or domains.
- Contributions to open-source projects or publications in NLP/AI conferences.
Perks & Benefits
