Curzon Green Solicitors is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Corporate Legal Analyst to join our expanding team. This is a pivotal role that offers the unique opportunity to contribute to significant corporate transactions and advisory projects from the comfort of your home office, while being an integral part of our Woking-based team’s extended network. As a Corporate Legal Analyst, you will be instrumental in supporting our corporate solicitors by conducting in-depth legal research, drafting and reviewing critical legal documents, and assisting with due diligence processes. You will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, analysing complex legal agreements, and preparing comprehensive reports that inform strategic decisions for our diverse client base. This position is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience in a corporate legal setting, who is adept at leveraging technology for efficient legal practice and possesses excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on corporate law matters, regulations, and industry-specific compliance requirements, utilising online legal databases and resources.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and proofreading a wide range of corporate legal documents, including contracts, agreements, board resolutions, company policies, and corporate governance documents.
- Support due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate transactions, including data room review, issue spotting, and summary preparation.
- Monitor changes in corporate law and regulatory landscapes to ensure firm and client compliance, providing timely updates and analyses of new legislation or case law.
- Prepare detailed legal memoranda, reports, and presentations for internal teams and clients, summarising complex legal issues and offering clear, actionable recommendations.
- Manage and organise legal documentation, maintaining accurate and accessible records in digital management systems and ensuring confidentiality and data security.
- Collaborate effectively with solicitors, legal executives, and other team members, providing analytical support and contributing to strategic discussions and case development.
- Assist with the preparation of legal opinions, pre-contractual documents, and post-completion filings.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field (e.g., Business with Legal focus)
- 2-3 years of experience in a corporate legal environment, law firm, or in-house legal department.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, or practical Law.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal document management systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a remote setting.
- Understanding of corporate governance principles and company law.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent professional legal qualification.
