Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and prepare legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Manage and organize electronic and physical case files, ensuring all documents are accurately categorized and readily accessible.
- Conduct preliminary legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal databases.
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule appointments, hearings, depositions, and meetings.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and external parties via phone and email.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists.
- Process invoices, track expenses, and assist with billing procedures.
- Perform general administrative duties as needed to support legal staff.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
- Prior experience working in a remote legal support role.
- Experience with e-filing systems in Arizona.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
