Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Manage, train, mentor, and schedule restaurant staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to exceptional food quality, presentation, and service standards.
  • Control inventory, manage ordering, and minimize waste to optimize profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze sales data, and implement strategies to achieve revenue and cost targets.
  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives and promotions to attract and retain customers.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally, resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized restaurant environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for staff and provide constructive feedback for professional development.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menu items and maintain high culinary standards.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive management experience in a full-service restaurant.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including P&L management, inventory, and labor costs.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making under pressure.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and restaurant management software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with fine dining or high-volume casual dining concepts.
  • Knowledge of local food and beverage trends in Rhode Island.
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus.
