Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and passionate Remote Scrum Master to guide our innovative software development teams. In this critical role, you will be the driving force behind our agile processes, ensuring that our teams embrace Scrum principles and deliver exceptional value efficiently and consistently. As a Remote Scrum Master, you will serve as a servant leader, empowering our distributed teams to excel while removing obstacles and facilitating productive discussions. You will champion agile best practices, coaching team members and stakeholders on the ‘why’ behind Scrum, not just the ‘how’. Your day-to-day will involve orchestrating all Scrum ceremonies – Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective – ensuring they are effective, engaging, and outcome-focused. You will be instrumental in protecting the team from external interruptions, managing dependencies, and working closely with Product Owners to refine backlogs and define clear user stories.

Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective, ensuring their effectiveness and adherence to timeboxes.
- Coach and mentor development teams on Scrum principles, values, and self-organization, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Remove impediments and blockers that hinder team progress, proactively seeking solutions and escalating issues when necessary.
- Protect the development team from external interferences and distractions, allowing them to focus on achieving sprint goals.
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is refined, prioritized, and ready for upcoming sprints.
- Foster clear communication and transparency within the team and with stakeholders, ensuring everyone understands project status and goals.
- Track and report on key agile metrics (e.g., burn-down charts, velocity, lead time) to help the team understand their performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, psychological safety, and accountability within the team.
- Support the scaling of agile practices across multiple teams and departments as needed.
Required Skills
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Proven ability to lead and coach multiple agile teams.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
- Experience with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote and distributed team setting.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Servant leadership mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Scrum certifications (e.g., A-CSM, CSPO, SAFe Scrum Master).
