Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises (both interior and exterior) to deter theft, vandalism, and other illicit activities.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, promptly investigating any suspicious activities or breaches.
- Control access to client facilities, verifying credentials, and ensuring only authorized individuals enter and exit.
- Respond effectively to alarms, emergency situations, and disturbances, following established protocols.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and observation notes.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all security regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to clients, employees, and visitors when required.
- Operate security equipment, including communication devices, access control systems, and monitoring tools.
Required Skills
- Valid Alberta Security Services Licence (or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire)
- Ability to pass a criminal record check and background screening
- Excellent observational and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, often outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and system monitoring
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment under pressure
- Reliable transportation to Leduc worksites
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification
