Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas on foot or in a vehicle to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure proper functionality and security.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances, reporting any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Control access to premises, screening visitors and employees, and maintaining detailed logs of all entries and exits.
- Write accurate and detailed reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Enforce rules, regulations, and policies to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Assist clients and emergency personnel in emergency situations, providing directions or information as needed.
- Conduct safety checks and identify potential hazards, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with team members and management to enhance security protocols and procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting and monitoring tasks.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and react effectively in stressful or emergency situations.
- Physical fitness to perform duties such as walking, standing for extended periods, and occasional lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Security Guard License (or ability to obtain one prior to employment).
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada (or willingness to pursue visa sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications
