Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly vigilant and professional Security Officer to join our dedicated team for immediate night shift deployment in Bury, Manchester. This full-time role is crucial in maintaining a safe and secure environment, protecting property, assets, and personnel during nocturnal hours. As a Night Shift Security Officer, you will be the front line of defence, responsible for deterring illegal activities, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with all security protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of premises, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, damage, or unauthorized access.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, to identify any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, following established protocols.
- Control access points, verify credentials of visitors and contractors, and maintain accurate logs of movements.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security, health, and safety.
- Write detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and maintain accurate records of observations and actions taken.
- Liaise with emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) as required.
- Provide a visible and reassuring presence to staff and visitors, offering assistance where needed.
- Perform routine checks on security equipment and report any malfunctions.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and monitoring systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to undertake patrols and respond to incidents.
- Prior experience in a security role, preferably night shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid at Work certification.
- CCTV Operator (Public Space Surveillance) license.
- Experience with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
- Full UK driving license.
