Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Shipper Receiver to join our bustling operations in Wembley, London. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, playing a vital part in our supply chain. You will be responsible for the accurate receiving, verification, and storage of incoming shipments, as well as the meticulous preparation and dispatch of outgoing orders. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately and report them to the appropriate supervisor.
- Accurately sort, label, and store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to specific order requirements.
- Process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs forms.
- Arrange for transportation and coordinate with carriers for timely pickups.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the shipping and receiving areas.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and assist with stock reconciliation.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) as required.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers/carriers to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Shipper Receiver or similar warehouse role.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification or experience operating a counterbalance/reach truck.
- Experience with inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems).
- Previous experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
- GCSEs or equivalent qualification in English and Maths.
