Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Shopify Developer to join our growing remote team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual to work from the comfort of their home, contributing to diverse and exciting e-commerce projects that push the boundaries of online retail. As a Shopify Developer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Shopify stores for our clients, ensuring exceptional user experiences and robust functionality. You will take ownership of the full development lifecycle, from initial concept and requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing optimization.
Your role will involve close collaboration with our design, marketing, and project management teams to translate complex business needs into elegant and efficient Shopify solutions. We’re looking for someone who is not just a coder, but a problem-solver who can anticipate challenges, propose innovative solutions, and uphold the highest standards of code quality and performance. You’ll be responsible for custom theme development, app integration, API customizations, and ensuring our client stores are optimized for speed, SEO, and conversion.
This position requires a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, including Liquid templating, Storefront API, and a strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies. You’ll contribute to an agile development process, participate in code reviews, and continuously seek opportunities to improve our development practices and tools. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes (sections, snippets, templates) using Liquid, HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript.
- Implement and configure third-party Shopify apps and integrations.
- Utilize Shopify APIs (Storefront, Admin) for custom feature development and data manipulation.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, and optimal website performance for all Shopify projects.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional Shopify stores.
- Perform routine audits, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing client stores.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and adhere to best practices for version control (Git).
- Stay updated with the latest Shopify platform features, industry trends, and emerging web technologies.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Shopify Developer.
- Expertise in Shopify Liquid templating language.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/SASS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with responsive web design principles and mobile-first development.
- Familiarity with Git version control.
- Proven ability to integrate and customize Shopify apps.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for remote collaboration.
