Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Soccer Coach to join our vibrant team in St. Charles, Missouri. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about soccer and youth development to make a significant impact on young athletes’ lives. As a Soccer Coach, you will be instrumental in teaching fundamental soccer skills, fostering a love for the game, and promoting good sportsmanship within a fun and safe environment. You will be responsible for planning and leading engaging practice sessions, overseeing games, and ensuring the well-being and safety of all participants. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead engaging and age-appropriate soccer practice sessions and drills.
  • Coach teams during scheduled games, providing tactical guidance and encouragement.
  • Teach fundamental soccer skills, rules, and strategies to players of varying skill levels.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by adhering to program policies and safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and program coordinators regarding schedules, progress, and any concerns.
  • Manage equipment effectively and ensure its proper use and storage.
  • Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating respect, integrity, and enthusiasm for the sport.
  • Attend mandatory coach meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow incident reporting procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in coaching soccer, particularly with youth age groups.
  • Strong understanding of soccer rules, techniques, and game strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and manage groups of children and adolescents.
  • Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm, and a positive coaching philosophy.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire).
  • Ability to adapt coaching methods to different age groups and skill levels.
  • Reliable transportation to various practice and game locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • US Soccer Federation (USSF) coaching license (e.g., Grassroots, D License).
  • Playing experience at the high school, collegiate, or club level.
  • Previous experience working in youth sports programs or recreational settings.
  • Background in physical education, sports management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate coaching techniques.
