Job Description

We are seeking a highly creative and strategic Social Media Manager to join Career.zycto and lead the digital presence for exciting music brands and artists. This pivotal role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes music, understands the nuances of various social media platforms, and possesses a proven track record of growing online communities and engagement within the entertainment sector. As our Social Media Manager, you will be instrumental in defining and executing compelling social media strategies that not only capture attention but also forge deep connections between artists and their fans. You will be responsible for developing a robust content calendar, producing engaging visual and written content, and overseeing all aspects of our artists’ social media channels from ideation to analytics.

Your day-to-day will involve crafting narratives that align with release cycles, tour announcements, and brand partnerships, ensuring a consistent and captivating online identity across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube. You’ll dive deep into social listening, identifying trending topics and emerging artists to inform content creation and community engagement efforts. Beyond content creation, this role demands a strong analytical mind, capable of monitoring performance metrics, interpreting data, and providing actionable insights to optimize future campaigns. You’ll collaborate closely with artists, their management teams, publicists, and our internal marketing department to ensure seamless execution and maximum impact. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive social media strategies tailored for music artists and brands across all relevant platforms.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (text, images, video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community engagement.
  • Manage and maintain content calendars, ensuring timely and strategic posting schedules that align with music releases, events, and brand initiatives.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends, fan feedback, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Engage actively with online communities, respond to comments and direct messages, fostering a positive and interactive environment.
  • Analyze social media performance data, preparing regular reports on key metrics and deriving actionable insights to optimize strategy.
  • Collaborate with artists, managers, and internal teams to create cohesive campaigns that integrate social media with broader marketing efforts.
  • Identify and onboard relevant influencers, content creators, and media partners to expand reach and engagement.
  • Stay current with the latest social media best practices, tools, and technologies, implementing innovative approaches.
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, audience targeting, and performance tracking.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing social media for a music brand, artist, record label, or entertainment company.
  • Expert-level proficiency with major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat).
  • Demonstrated ability to create high-quality, engaging content across various formats (graphics, video, stories, Reels).
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools (e.g., native platform insights, third-party dashboards).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to capture a brand's unique voice.
  • Proven track record of growing online communities and driving engagement.
  • Deep passion for music across various genres and a solid understanding of the music industry landscape.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics and emerging digital trends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Music Business, or a related field.
  • Portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns for music artists or brands.
  • Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut).
  • Experience with paid social media advertising (Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SEO principles for social media content.
