Montebelo Hotels & Resorts is actively seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and highly motivated Sports Event Helpers to join our dynamic team in Chibabava, Manica Province. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist diligently with the complete setup and careful dismantling of event venues, including the precise arrangement of essential equipment, clear signage, and comfortable seating.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and exceptionally helpful assistance to event participants, spectators, and fellow staff, competently answering questions and directing them as needed.
  • Help efficiently manage crucial event logistics, such as participant registration, effective crowd control, and timely information dissemination.
  • Support the organized distribution of event materials, refreshing water, and various refreshments to participants throughout the events.
  • Ensure that the entire event area remains impeccably clean, tidy, and consistently safe throughout the entire duration of the event.
  • Collaborate effectively and harmoniously with team members, dedicated volunteers, and expert event organizers to successfully achieve all event objectives.
  • Assist with basic equipment management and meticulous inventory, ensuring all items are accurately accounted for, properly maintained, and stored securely.
  • Adhere strictly and consistently to all established safety protocols and company guidelines during all event operations.
  • Perform any other duties as competently assigned to ensure the seamless and successful execution of all sports events.

Required Skills

  • Strong, clear communication and excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as a vital part of a cohesive team.
  • Excellent time management abilities and strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry event equipment (up to 15 kg) for extended periods.
  • High level of enthusiasm, demonstrable proactivity, and a consistently positive, 'can-do' attitude.
  • Exceptional reliability and punctuality are absolutely essential for the successful execution of any event.
  • A genuine willingness to learn quickly and adapt flexibly to various tasks, challenges, and dynamic situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, or volunteer role is considered a valuable asset.
  • A strong, demonstrable passion for sports and community-focused events.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid procedures is advantageous but not strictly required for this entry-level role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Portuguese, the official language of Mozambique.
