Career.zycto is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Supervisor to lead our High Street team in Norton-on-Derwent, Malton. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the retail team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Manage staff scheduling, breaks, and task delegation to optimize store productivity.
  • Conduct ongoing training for new and existing employees on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies.
  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, cleanliness, and store presentation.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock management, and minimise shrinkage.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures.
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and security procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute sales strategies and promotions.
  • Prepare daily reports on sales, customer traffic, and team performance.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in retail, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in retail POS systems and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per retail demands.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high store standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Experience with visual merchandising and stock control processes.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Familiarity with local market trends in Norton-on-Derwent/Malton.
