Career.zycto is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Supervisor to lead our High Street team in Norton-on-Derwent, Malton. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the retail team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Manage staff scheduling, breaks, and task delegation to optimize store productivity.
- Conduct ongoing training for new and existing employees on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, cleanliness, and store presentation.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock management, and minimise shrinkage.
- Process sales transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and security procedures.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute sales strategies and promotions.
- Prepare daily reports on sales, customer traffic, and team performance.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in retail, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in retail POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per retail demands.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high store standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Experience with visual merchandising and stock control processes.
- First Aid qualification.
- Familiarity with local market trends in Norton-on-Derwent/Malton.
