Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on sustainability best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends.
  • Assist in data collection and analysis related to environmental performance indicators (e.g., carbon footprint, waste management).
  • Support the development of sustainability reports, presentations, and communication materials for clients.
  • Contribute to the assessment of client operations, identifying areas for environmental improvement and efficiency.
  • Participate in client meetings and workshops, taking notes and assisting with follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants on project planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Prepare summaries and insights from industry reports and academic journals.
  • Help maintain project documentation and knowledge management systems.
  • Support outreach and engagement efforts related to sustainability initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (e.g., Environmental Studies, Engineering, Business, Urban Planning) with a focus on sustainability.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A genuine passion for environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous volunteer or project experience related to sustainability, environmental management, or corporate social responsibility.
