Key Responsibilities
- Safely and effectively direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic using hand signals and flagging equipment.
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control signs, cones, and barricades according to safety regulations and work plans.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, pedestrians, and co-workers to ensure smooth operations and safety.
- Monitor traffic patterns and work zone conditions, adjusting controls as necessary.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and provincial traffic control guidelines.
- Operate two-way radios or other communication devices to coordinate with crew members.
- Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain a high level of vigilance and situational awareness at all times within the work zone.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification (can be obtained after hiring, training provided).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding outdoor role.
